Little Compton, RI  - one of those best-kept secret magical spots.
The Bride et al moved into this rural and perfectly rough-around-the-edges-farm a week before the wedding. What’s better than milking the cows, collecting eggs and gathering grasses and wildflowers for the centerpieces with your best pals.

Who’s cuter than this little guy – ready for the big day???

The late summer bouquet was loose and natural, with garden roses and long, tendrilly Sweet Autumn Clematis…

To bring in the natural elements around the farm, we went for a homespun, natural and uncontrived look for the bouquets and boutonnieres.  Her bouquet was predominately white with a touch of the palest blush. All were banded with brown kraft paper and natural twine braided to wrap…

David Austin garden roses, mini calla lilies, sweet autumn clematis, white hydrangea, dahlias…

The bride’s creativity was outstanding, with vintage antique lanterns and flowers picked from the surrounding fields to create centerpieces for the reception…she found old doors and windows,  and used hay bales to create spaces on an otherwise wide open property by the bay…

Gorgeous and such impeccable  quirky style. Here comes the Bride…..!!!!

The boutonnieres each had their own unique flower pairings, none the same… also wrapped in twine and a thin purple ribbon to match the bridesmaids dresses… LOVE these.

The perfect combination of country and beach, family and friends coming together for the week – we loved this couple’s vision!

    Congratulations to you both!

I’ve been going through photos from past weddings for the website and editorial – and came across this gem.

What a creative and unique couple they were and are – kooky and inspirational and just irresistible…

It was a gorgeous day for an outdoor ceremony at Linden Place – a grand jewel in Bristol RI.

Our Lush Urns overflowing with rich color – and peacock-feather accents:

Bouquet and boutonniere so vibrant and sure..

The carriage house was transformed – even adding drapes in our dramatic, rich palette!

Teal and copper – purple and red – delish.

Great memories of a truly magical celebration!

We were thrilled and honored to be asked to design BLISS BASH – the launch party for the area’s hot new guide for “Planning Fresh, Modern and Spectacular Events”!

What a NIGHT! Expectations were really high for this brandy-new party resource: Bliss Publications Celebrations. No one had seen the finished product – including nervous publisher Amy Blau and her sales and creative team! Hot off the presses, the boxes at last arrived in the early afternoon…

My great crew and I pulled out all the chartreuse and eggplant stops, working for two days creating the fab fete – sweeping the floors at the Hope Artiste Village space just minutes before guests began arriving!

Our HUGE floral was the focal point of the white brick party space as 300 guests grabbed a signature cocktail served by Blackstone Caterers. DJ Victor of Party Time was spinning great tunes to welcome the crowd!

Suspended “vines” made for a great overhead visual to welcome guests – brilliantly lit by Tony Ormonde and the Ormonde Productions crew. Really fun!

No one could wait to dig into the voluptuous magazine. And let me tell you – the near-300 packed pages did not disappoint! It’s just fabulous; gorgeously laid out by Editor and Artistic Director Natalie Manning. It was a huge undertaking that she has presented with such absolute inspiration. Her talent is astounding! Our bathing duo below agrees: big giant KUDOS!

Here’s the gang that pulled it off with such great style – exceeding all of this (tough crowd’s) anticipations:

From L to R: Tracey Becker, Senior Dir. of Sales and Marketing – Sara Thurston, Sales Exec. – Jill Korff, Dir. of Sales and Marketing – Amy Blau, Publisher – Natalie Manning, Editor/Art Director – Claudia Seyffert, Senior Writer/ Copy Ed. – Alexandra West, Sales Exec.   Hat’s off to all!!! Amy you should be so very proud! All of you can breathe easy now. The reviews are in  and we love it!

As our bawdy vintage broads above will attest – It’s a Party After All! Rather than just a pretty vase here and there – we went a little crazy. Mrs Potato Head brought a Very Mean Doggie:

The Bearded Lady asks (and so do we) WHY????:

Dorothy and her Wizard of Oz PEZ pals take a little dip. Those lime feathers have little hidden lites that set the gang aglow…

And for Gawd sakes – what BLISS BASH would be complete without a perky Garden Gnome!

Two sexy lounge areas made for cushy seating as guests enjoyed Blackstone’s always killer food. Here’s our Sage, Heather and Chocolate Leather grouping (Special Effect – Doris Day in the antique birdcage!):

Here’s our other signature Lounge – White tufted vinyl and leather – with our trademark Gerbera Balls:

    with Ducky accents…

and the Pink Flamingos go green…

Even those Wild Things got their own Mossy Puff!

The night wouldn’t have been complete without a Life-sized COW (those crazy girls who decided to mount her will remain unnamed – but the pic on Facebook will live forever).

Kerri Fusco from Sweet Indulgence topped off the night with her trio of chandeliers filled with Pistachio Cupcakes.
